Kyokushin Karate All Japan Weight Category Championships.

At the Kyokushin Karate All Japan Weight Category Championships held on August 23–24, our Karate team’s Shiyu Kiyama competed in the under-90 kg division.

In a dramatic semifinal that went into overtime, Kiyama narrowly missed out on a place in the final. He bounced back in the bronze medal match, however, delivering a strong performance to claim third place.

“I’m very disappointed because I was aiming for the championship,” Kiyama admitted. Still, the result marks clear progress, as he improved on last year’s fourth-place finish and demonstrated significant growth.
